A notice (notice of intention) that requests the other party to perform a certain act. It can be distinguished between a demand for the performance of an obligation and a demand for the exercise of a right. The former are, for example, a demand to cause the debtor to delay (so that the debtor becomes responsible for the delay in performance) (Civil Code Article 412, Paragraph 3), a demand to interrupt the prescription (Civil Code Article 153. However, the effect of interruption is weak, and unless a stronger method such as a judicial claim is taken within six months, the prescription will not be interrupted), and a demand to create a right to cancel (Civil Code Article 541). The latter are, for example, a demand to ratify the act of a person with limited legal capacity (Civil Code Article 20).
