Civil engineering is said to be the technology with the oldest history. When humans first appeared and began to live, they first had to excavate the land in order to build pit dwellings, and they would have had to carve primitive paths and build wooden bridges to walk on. When agriculture began, irrigation and drainage facilities became indispensable, and large-scale tombs were also built as symbols of power. It is no exaggeration to say that civil engineering has been at the heart of technology since ancient times, and civil engineering is often referred to as "the technology of technologies."
