Danish author. Among the poets who emerged in the 1960s, he is by far the most energetic and prolific. Since his debut with his autobiographical and ironic prose poetry collection, Standing Upwind of the Self (1958), he has been active in all genres as a literary magazine editor, journalist, film and television review scriptwriter, and novelist. He challenges literary traditions and hackneyed customs, gives words new life, and makes full use of a unique vocabulary, so that his name now represents all that "attracts attention." [Okada Reiko]
