Ali Akbar Khan

1922‐ Indian sarod player and composer. He went to America in 1955 and gave his first sarod performance. He founded the Ali Akbar College of Music in Calcutta in 1956 and in California in 1967. Since then, he has traveled back and forth between America and India to perform and educate the young generation.
