Alpha ² of Canes Venatici. Its unusual Latin name, meaning "Heart of Charles," was given to it by E. Harry, an astronomer famous for Comet Harry, in honor of King Charles II of England. It is a binary star suitable for observation with a small telescope of about 5 cm in diameter, with Alpha ¹ being visible at a distance of about 19 inches and a magnitude of 5.6. This star is also known as a magnetic variable, or a peculiar A-type star, and its magnetic field strength and absorption lines in its spectrum, which indicate the presence of metallic elements, change regularly, just like the star's period of variation.

りょうけん座のα²星。〈チャールズの心臓〉という意の奇抜なラテン名は，ハリーすい星で有名な天文学者E.ハリーが，イギリス国王チャールズ2世をたたえて命名したものである。口径5cmクラスの小望遠鏡による観望に適した連星で，約19″離れて5.6等のα¹星が見える。また，この星は磁変星，あるいはA型特異星としても知られ，磁場の強さや，金属元素の存在を示すスペクトルの吸収線が，この星の変光周期と同様に規則的に変化している。
