...With Miura Goro, Toyama Mitsuru, Sasaki Yasugoro, Furushima Kazuo, Ogawa Unpei and others at the center, they were active in stirring up nationalistic public opinion and anti-democratic movements. In 1918, together with the Black Dragon Society, they carried out the "Osaka Asahi Shimbun Punishing Movement" (Hakko Incident), and also attacked the magazine "Nihon to Nihonjin" (Japan and the Japanese), which criticized the Society's actions. Yoshino Sakuzo thoroughly attacked the Society's actions in the November issue of Chuokoron magazine that same year.
