Glide ratio

Japanese: 滑空比 - かっくうひ
Glide ratio
The ratio of the forward distance to the sinking distance is called the glide ratio. For example, if you fly from a takeoff point at a height of 100m and land 400m away, the glide ratio is 400m:100m=4:1. A glide ratio of 4 means 4:1. See related term L/D.
