A town in Nakatado County in the mid-west of Kagawa Prefecture. The main town is at the eastern foot of Mount Zozu and developed as a town in front of the shrine gate of Kotohira Shrine. Inns, restaurants, and souvenir shops line the area between Miyano Daimon and Kotohira Station. It is served by the Dosan Line and the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railway, and attracts many visitors.
