Hague is a type of eczema that appears as round, white, flaky rash the size of a 10-yen coin on the face, arms, and legs of children up to about elementary school age.
Since there are usually no noticeable symptoms such as itching, you may not notice them during the winter, but they become more noticeable from summer to autumn when the surrounding skin becomes sunburned.
Haemorrhage is often seen in children with atopic constitution and is also listed as one of the indicators for diagnosing atopic dermatitis.
However, the exact cause is still unknown. In the past, there were theories that it was caused by fungal or bacterial infection or a vitamin deficiency, but these have now been largely ruled out. Therefore, there is no need to worry about person-to-person infection.
Treatment involves washing the area thoroughly and then applying an oily ointment such as white petrolatum. This is more of a skin care treatment than a treatment, but it is the best.
Although baldness is more noticeable in the summer, it is actually more severe in the winter when the skin becomes dry, so it is best to take good care of your skin in the winter.
To prevent baldness from becoming more noticeable, protect yourself and the surrounding skin from UV rays with sunscreen.

はたけというのは、小学生くらいまでの子どもの顔、腕（うで）、脚（あし）にできる、十円玉大の円形の白いカサカサした湿疹（しっしん）のことです。
　ふつう、かゆみなどの自覚症状がないため、冬の間は気づかないことが多いのですが、夏から秋にかけて、周囲の皮膚が日に焼けると目立つようになります。
　はたけは、アトピー体質の子どもに多くみられ、アトピー性皮膚炎（せいひふえん）の診断の目安の1つにもあげられています。
　ところが、その原因については、はっきりしたことがまだわかっていません。以前は、真菌（しんきん）や細菌の感染あるいはビタミン不足でおこるなどの説がありましたが、現在はどちらもほとんど否定されています。したがって、人から人へと感染する心配はありません。
　治療は、よく洗浄した後に、白色ワセリンなどの油脂性軟膏（ゆしせいなんこう）を塗（ぬ）ります。治療というよりスキンケアですが、これがいちばんです。
　はたけが目立つのは夏ですが、実は症状が強くなるのは、皮膚が乾燥する冬季です。したがって、冬季にスキンケアを入念に行なうのがいちばんよいことです。
　なお、はたけが目立つのをふせぐためには、サンスクリーン剤で周囲の皮膚を含めて紫外線から守ることです。
