Mount Kotobiki

Japanese: 琴弾山 - ことびきやま

Hanakouwa Hill is located on the north bank of the mouth of the Zaida River in Kanonji City, western Kagawa Prefecture. It is 58m above sea level. From the top, the view of the entire Hiuchi Nada Sea, Ibuki Island, and Misaki Peninsula is magnificent, and it is included in the Setonaikai National Park. The nearby coast is the prefectural Kotohiki Park, and the Ariake Beach swimming beach and the Kan'ei Tsūhō coin pattern carved into the sand are famous. At the top of the mountain is Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine, founded in 703 (Taihō 3), and at the eastern foot of the mountain is Shippo-san Jinne-in Kannon-ji Temple (Shikoku 88 Temples 68th Temple Jinne-in Temple, 69th Temple Kannon-ji Temple), so there are always pilgrims.

香川県西部，観音寺（かんおんじ）市の財田川河口北岸にある花コウ岩丘陵。標高58m。頂上からの燧（ひうち）灘の全貌，伊吹島，三崎半島の眺望はすばらしく，瀬戸内海国立公園に含まれる。付近の海岸は県立琴弾公園(名)となり，海水浴場の有明浜とその砂上に掘られた寛永通宝の銭型模様は有名。山頂には703年(大宝3)創建の琴弾八幡宮，東側山麓には七宝山神恵（じんね）院観音（かんのん）寺(四国八十八ヵ所68番札所神恵院，69番札所観音寺)があって遍路の姿が絶えない。
