Chord name (English spelling)

Japanese: コード･ネーム（英語表記）chord name

It is an abbreviated notation for chords that originated in jazz music, but today it is used not only in jazz but also in many popular music scores. The root note of the chord is written with the English note name, and the type of chord, such as major, minor, or seventh chord, is added to it. The notation is usually in the order of root note (♯ is added if it goes up a semitone, and ♭ is added if it goes down a semitone), major or minor type (usually major triads are left as is, and m is added to minor triads, and dim is added to diminished triads), and seventh note (minor sevenths are left as is, and major sevenths are M7) (see diagram).
