A former town in Nakatado District, located in the upper reaches of the Toki River in the southern part of Kagawa Prefecture. As the area is mountainous, the main form of agriculture is field crops, with tobacco, cabbage, and tea being cultivated. There is a large population outflow. In March 2006, the town merged with Mannou Town and Nakaminami Town in Nakatado District to become Mannou Town in Nakatado District. 82.79 km2 . 3,284 people (2003).
