A former town in Nakatado District, located in the upper reaches of the Toki River in the southern part of Kagawa Prefecture. As the area is mountainous, the main form of agriculture is field crops, with tobacco, cabbage, and tea being cultivated. There is a large population outflow. In March 2006, the town merged with Mannou Town and Nakaminami Town in Nakatado District to become Mannou Town in Nakatado District. 82.79 km2 . 3,284 people (2003). 香川県南部，土器川上流域を占める仲多度郡の旧町。山地が多いため畑作農業を主とし，タバコ，キャベツ，茶を栽培する。人口流出が多い。2006年３月，仲多度郡満濃町，仲南町と合併し町制，仲多度郡まんのう町となる。82.79km2。3284人（2003）。
