Abbreviation for ultra high frequency. One of the classifications of radio waves for the convenience of their use. According to the Radio Regulations attached to the Charter of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), it refers to the frequency band exceeding 300 megahertz and below 3000 megahertz (3 gigahertz). In terms of wavelength, it is in the range of 1 meter to 10 centimeters, classified as decimeter waves, and generally called extremely high frequency waves. It is a frequency band higher than VHF (meter waves), and allows for high-speed digital communication using phase modulation (PM). ultra high frequencyの略称。
