This is a test that is performed by taking blood from the bone marrow, which is the hematopoietic tissue, in cases of blood diseases, malignant tumors, metabolic diseases, etc. It examines the production and maturation of blood cells, the state of transmigration into the peripheral blood, the presence of atypical cells, etc. It is usually performed on the sternum and ilium, but it can also be performed on the lumbar spinous process. 血液疾患，悪性腫瘍(しゅよう)，代謝疾患等の際に造血組織である骨髄内の血液を採取して行う検査。血球の新生，成熟，末梢血への遊出状態，異型細胞の存在等を検査する。通常胸骨，腸骨で行われるが，腰椎棘(きょく)突起で行われることもある。
