A town in Shari District, eastern Hokkaido. Facing the Sea of Okhotsk, the Senmo Main Line passes through the town. The coastal sand dunes of Lake Tofutsu are famous as the Koshimizu Primeval Flower Garden. The town is mainly involved in field crops and dairy farming. Potatoes, wheat, and sugar beets are produced, and food processing is also carried out. Lake Tofutsu was registered as a Ramsar Convention wetland in 2005. 286.89 km2 . 5,358 people (2010). 北海道東部，斜里郡の町。オホーツク海に面し，釧網(せんもう)本線が通じる。濤沸(とうふつ)湖岸の海岸砂丘は小清水原生花園として有名。畑作と酪農が中心。ジャガイモ，麦類，テンサイを産し，食品加工も行う。2005年に濤沸湖がラムサール条約登録湿地となる。286.89km2。5358人（2010）。
