《Meeting hall》

Japanese: 《会堂》 - かいどう
《Meeting hall》

…Beginning with the free-spirited and fantastical novel Amoria (completed in 1823, reworked and published in 1839), he wrote poetry, plays, and essays as a pioneer of the innovative Romantic movement, and his major works were collected in The Book of the Rose (1833-51). After the magnificent novel The Queen's Jewels (1834), featuring a dancer at the court of Gustav III, he turned his attention to Rousseau's "return to nature" movement and wrote realistic works such as The Synagogue (1838), which dealt with simple peasant life. In "That's Good" (1839), he strongly asserted that marriage was a personal matter based on love and understanding, in which there was no room for state or church intervention, which caused him to be unpopular with those around him. He was also suspected of forgery and attempted poisoning, and fled to America in 1851. After 15 years of wandering, he died in Bremen, Germany, on his way back to Europe.
