An old town on the west coast of central Awaji Island in Tsuna District, Hyogo Prefecture. Bell pepper, strawberry, and onion cultivation, as well as dairy farming, are thriving. There are scenic spots such as Goshikihama Beach, famous for its five-colored pebbles, and the former site of Takadaya Kahei, a shipping merchant from the end of the Edo period.
