Reaction analysis equipment

Japanese: 反応分析装置 - はんのうぶんせきそうち

Also known as a group reaction analysis device or response analyzer. An educational device that instantly and quantitatively collects the reactions of many learners, having learners respond by operating a selection switch to give their answers or opinions, and displaying the results on the teacher's desk. Many of these devices also have a function to show the results to the learners. Unlike methods that rely on raising hands, these devices have the advantage that learners are not influenced by the opinions of others, and that they show changes in responses over time. Teachers can use this data to make decisions about how to conduct a class, and can also liven up discussions by showing the collected results to the learners.

集団反応分析装置，レスポンス･アナライザーなどともいう。多数の学習者の反応状況を即時に定量的に収集する教育機器で，学習者に答や意見などを選択スイッチの操作によって回答させ，その結果を教師卓に表示する装置。学習者に結果を提示する機能をもつものも多い。挙手などによる場合と異なり，学習者が他人の意見に影響されない，回答の時間変化がわかるなどの特色をもつ。教師はこれらのデータから一斉授業を展開するうえでの判断材料を得ることができるほか，集計結果を学習者に提示することで討論を盛り上げることも可能である。
