A collection of performance critiques on each role in the kabuki production of "Kanadehon Chushingura." Written by Yamozuya Jisho. Published in November 1785 (Tenmei 5). 2 volumes. At the beginning, there is an outline of the Ako Roshi drama centered on "Chushingura," followed by a list of roles played in the three capitals from February 1749 (Kan'en 2) to September 1785. The main text then goes on to describe the 25 main roles, including Moronao, Hangan, Honzo, Yurasuke, Kanpei, Okaru, Tonase, and Yoshihira, with notes on the role and the performance styles of representative actors, and a list of performances in Nagoya at the end of the volume.

歌舞伎で上演された《仮名手本忠臣蔵》の各役に関する芸評集。八文字屋自笑著。1785年(天明5)11月刊。2巻。冒頭に《忠臣蔵》を中心とする赤穂浪士劇の概要を記した後，1749年(寛延2)2月から85年9月までの，三都における役割表を掲載。次いで本文に入り，師直，判官，本蔵，由良助，勘平，おかる，となせ，義平など，主要な25役について，それぞれの役の心得と代表的な役者の演じ方を記し，巻末に名古屋での興行一覧を付ける。
