International Council on Social Welfare

Japanese: 国際社会福祉協議会 - こくさいしゃかいふくしきょうぎかい（英語表記）International Council on Social Welfare

Abbreviated as ICSW, this organization aims to promote international cooperation by exchanging information and experiences on social welfare among countries, and by conducting research and discussions on various issues. Founded in 1928, its headquarters was in Vienna, but moved to Montreal in the late 1990s. The world is divided into five blocks, each with its own regional office, and regional cooperation activities are also carried out. Its main activity is the International Social Welfare Conference, held every two years, but it also holds regional conferences and seminars, and publishes various information materials.

ICSWと略称される。社会福祉に関する各国の情報交換，経験交流および諸問題の研究討議などを行い，国際的な協力関係を助長することを目的とする組織。1928年創立。本部はウィーンにあったが，90年代後半にモントリオールに移った。世界を5ブロックに分け，それぞれ地域事務局を設け，地域ごとの協力活動も行われる。主たる事業は隔年に開催される国際社会福祉会議で，また地域会議やセミナーの開催，各種情報資料の刊行も行っている。
