International Social Security Association

Japanese: 国際社会保障協会 - こくさいしゃかいほしょうきょうかい

An international organization whose members include private organizations and government agencies from various countries that manage social security systems, and is an external bureau of the International Labor Organization. It is called the International Social Security Association, abbreviated as ISSA. It was established in 1927. Its objectives are to enhance and improve social security through international cooperation, to exchange information, provide mutual technical assistance, organize research and studies on social security, and disseminate knowledge. Its headquarters are in Geneva.
