Koboyama Kofun

Japanese: 弘法山古墳 - こうぼうやまこふん

This is a keyhole-shaped tomb located in Degawa-cho, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. It was built facing northwest at the northern end of an isolated hill commonly known as Horagaiyama. Its overall length is 66m, its rear section 41m, and its front section 22m wide. Excavated by Saito Tadashi and others in 1974, a pit-type stone chamber was discovered in the rear section. The chamber is perpendicular to the main axis of the tumulus and measures 5.0m x 1.3m. The inner walls, made of river stones, are stacked in a disorganized manner, with river stones scattered on the floor, making it unusual for a pit-type stone chamber. Grave goods excavated from the floor of the chamber included a Chinese mirror, small glass beads, bronze arrowheads, iron arrowheads, swords, spears, axes, and hacksaws.

長野県松本市出川町に所在する前方後方墳。ほら貝山と俗称される独立丘陵の北端に，北西面して築かれる。全長66m，後方部長41m，前方部幅22mをはかる。1974年に斎藤忠らが発掘し，後方部で竪穴式石室を検出した。石室は古墳の主軸に直交し，内法5.0m×1.3mをはかる。河原石を使った内壁の積み方が乱雑に過ぎ，床面に河原石が散乱するなど，竪穴式石室としては異例に属する。副葬品として，石室床面から中国鏡，ガラス小玉，銅鏃，鉄鏃，剣，槍，斧，鉇（やりがんな）が出土した。
