A railway company affiliated with Hankyu Railway, mainly operating in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Founded in 1926 as Kobe-Arima Electric Railway. The Mita Line began operation in 1928. In 1936, the Miki Electric Railway was established with the aim of developing the eastern Harima region. In 1938, the Miki-Kaminomaru-Miki section opened. In 1947, the company merged with the Miki Electric Railway to become the Kamuari Miki Electric Railway. In 1949, the company name was changed to Kobe Electric Railway. In 1952, the Ono-Ao section opened. In 1968, the Kobe Rapid Railway began operating to Shinkaichi Station, which led to a rapid increase in the population and passenger numbers along the company's lines, and at the same time, the real estate business, which opened in 1957, also boomed. In 1988, the company changed to its current name. In 1991, the Koen-toshi Line was opened to Flower Town. The main trunk line was closed in January 1995 due to the Southern Hyogo Prefecture earthquake, but the entire line was restored five months later.

兵庫県神戸市を中心に営業する阪急電鉄系の鉄道会社。1926年神戸有馬電気鉄道として設立。1928年三田線営業開始。1936年三木電気鉄道を設立し東播地方の開発を目指す。1938年三木上の丸―三木間が開業。1947年三木電鉄を合併し神有三木電気鉄道となる。1949年社名を神戸電気鉄道に変更。1952年小野―粟生間が開業。1968年に神戸高速鉄道の新開地駅乗り入れが始まったことにより同社沿線の人口・乗客が急増，同時に 1957年開業の不動産事業も活況を呈した。1988年現社名に変更。1991年フラワータウンまでの公園都市線が開業。1995年1月の兵庫県南部地震で主要幹線が不通になったが 5ヵ月後に全線が復旧した。
