A town in Hino County in the middle reaches of the Hino River in western Tottori Prefecture. The main settlement along the Hakubi Line, Ebi, was a post town in the Edo period. The town produces rice, green onions, and radishes, and also practices forestry. The mountainous area on the border with Okayama Prefecture belongs to Daisen-Oki National Park, and is home to Kagami-ga-naru National Vacation Village. The town is served by the Yonago Expressway.
