Casale method - Kazareh method

...A compound of nitrogen and hydrogen. Chemical formula: NH ₃ . The existence of ammonia has long been known to mankind due to its distinctive odor. In the past, it was produced in the form of ammonium chloride (NH ₄ Cl) by sublimation from organic soot or from sodium chloride and urine. The name ammonia comes from the fact that the sand (main component of which is ammonium chloride) found near the Temple of Amun (Greek: Ammon) in ancient Egypt was called sal ammoniacus.
