Kangding - Koutei

A county-level city in the mid-west of Sichuan Province, China. It is located on the plateau in the southern part of the Great Snow Mountains along the Lu River, a tributary of the Min River, and is the seat of the government of the Kanze Tibetan (Zang) Autonomous Prefecture. Population: 133,799 (2015). Konga Mountain (7,556 meters) is located about 50 kilometers south. Also known as Dayanlu. It has been a trading center for the southwestern ethnic groups since ancient times, and today it is a distribution center for tea, textiles, and furs from the Tibetan Plateau in the Sichuan Basin along the Sichuan-Tibetan Expressway (Chengdu-Lhasa). There are woolen textile and leather factories due to Burmese sheep grazing in the surrounding area, and gold is also produced, and it is also a specialty producer of musk. Kangding Airport, which opened in 2008, is located in the center of the city. He is also known for the folk song "Kangding Love Song."

中国、四川(しせん)省中西部にある県級市。岷江(びんこう)支流大渡河(だいとが)水系の瀘河(ろが)に沿い、大雪(だいせつ)山脈南部の高原上に位置する。カンゼ・チベット族（蔵族）自治州の政府所在地。人口13万3799（2015）。南約50キロメートルにコンガ山（7556メートル）がある。別名打箭炉(だせんろ)。古くから西南諸民族の交易地で、今日も川蔵自動車道（成都(せいと)―ラサ）に沿い、四川盆地の茶、織物、チベット高原の毛皮などの集散地である。周辺での緬羊(めんよう)放牧による毛織物・皮革工場があるほか金も産出し、またじゃ香の特産地でもある。市中部に2008年開港の康定空港がある。「康定情歌」という民謡でも知られる。
