〘Noun〙 A type of shogi played by children. Pieces with strengths determined according to their role, such as generals, engineers, mines, and spies, are moved face-down, and when they collide with an opponent's piece, a third party judges the loser's piece and removes it. The winner is the player who first captures the opponent's military flag piece. Military shogi. *Nihonbashi (1914) by Izumi Kyoka, Volume 3: "Even if they are marching generals, spies are the boldest ."
