Slit Camera

A special camera used for photo-finishing competitions. A slit (vertical narrow gap) is made in front of the film, and the camera is set up so that it overlaps with the finish line. The film is moved according to the speed of the subject, and the shutter opens and closes intermittently, and a long and narrow image is intermittently captured on the film according to the passage of time. 競技の写真判定等に使用される特殊な写真機。フィルム前面にスリット（縦の細隙）を設け，これがゴールラインに重なるように写真機を設置する。被写体のスピードに応じてフィルムを移動，シャッターを断続的に開閉すると，フィルム上に時間経過に従った細長い映像が断続して写る。これにより競技等の着順の判定が決定される。
