A special camera used for photo-finishing competitions. A slit (vertical narrow gap) is made in front of the film, and the camera is set up so that it overlaps with the finish line. The film is moved according to the speed of the subject, and the shutter opens and closes intermittently, and a long and narrow image is intermittently captured on the film according to the passage of time. This determines the order of finish in the competition.
