Construction Statistics

Japanese: 建設統計 - けんせつとうけい

Construction statistics are broadly divided into three categories: (1) those that attempt to grasp each aspect of construction activity from the start of construction work to its completion, (2) those that grasp the structure and management status of the construction industry, which is the contractor of construction work, and those that grasp the procurement status of labor and materials required for construction work, and (3) those that grasp the stock of construction works. (1) Construction activity statistics include the Construction Orders Statistics (Ministry of Construction), which grasps construction work on an order basis and contributes to understanding corporate investment activities and economic trends.

建設統計は，(1)建設工事が着工され竣工するまでの建設活動を各局面で把握しようとするもの，(2)建設工事の施工者である建設業の構造･経営状況等を把握するもの，および建設工事に要する労働･資材の調達状況等を把握しようとするもの，(3)建設物のストックを把握するもの，の三つに大別される。　(1)建設活動統計としては，まず建設工事を受注ベースでとらえ，企業の投資活動と景気動向把握に資する建設工事受注統計(建設省)がある。
