A military commander of the Yuan Dynasty in China. A native of Changqing (Changqing County, Shandong Province). His courtesy name was Wu Shu. His posthumous name was Wu Hui. He started out as a chivalrous man, but was well-liked, and was appointed commander of one hundred households in the Jin Dynasty's anti-Mongol militia, where he defeated the Mongol army. In 1218, he descended to the Southern Song Dynasty, but realized that he was not up to the task, and in 1219, he became a Mongol army commander under his control of two prefectures and six counties, and was appointed Minister of State. He distinguished himself in many battles, including the occupation of Dongping and Yidu, and in 1220, he was awarded the title of commander of ten thousand households along the Dongping route. He governed well, invited famous Confucian scholars to hold imperial examinations, and built up a power in the Dongping area that was said to be one of the four great marquises of Hebei. After his death, he was posthumously awarded the title of Duke of Lu.
