Founder of the Singhasari dynasty in Java, Indonesia. Born a peasant in the region of Tema Pel (later called Singhasari) in eastern Java, he was a delinquent in his youth, but he was cunning and became a vassal of Tema Pel's lord, Tenggur Ametung, and then, with the help of his wife, Ken Dedes, he assassinated the lord and became lord himself. At the time, the Kediri dynasty in East Java was in a state of decline, so Ken Anglok destroyed it in 1222 and founded the Singhasari dynasty. However, after five years of reign, he was assassinated by an assassin sent by Anusapati, the son of his wife and Tenggur Ametung, and Anusapati succeeded him to the throne.

インドネシア，ジャワのシンガサリ朝の創始者。ジャワ東部のトゥマーペル(のちの名称はシンガサリ)地方の農民出身で，若いころは非行を重ねたが，策略に富み，トゥマーペルの領主トゥングル･アメトゥンの家臣となった後，その妻ケン･デデスと通じて領主を暗殺し，自ら領主となった。当時東ジャワのクディリ朝は衰退の一途をたどっていたので，ケン･アンロックは1222年にこれを滅ぼし，シンガサリ朝を開いた。しかし彼は在位5年の後，妻と前夫トゥングル･アメトゥンとの間の男子アヌーサパティが差し向けた刺客によって暗殺され，アヌーサパティが王位を継いだ。
