Also known as the Keicho Old Type Edition. A general term for books published in type during the Keicho era (1596-1615) at the behest of Tokugawa Ieyasu. These were printed using type printing technology brought over by the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592. Famous works include "Teikan Seigyo" (Political Science 1592) and "Azuma Kagami" (The Mirror of the Jogan Era). 慶長古活字版ともいう。徳川家康の命で慶長年間 (1596~1615) に活字で出版された書物の総称。文禄1 (1592) 年からの朝鮮出兵によってもたらされた活字印刷技術によるもので,『貞観政要』『吾妻鏡』などが有名。
