Academic Affairs Committee
Before the war, prefectures, cities, towns, villages, and village school associations established permanent committees for educational affairs by imperial decree. ※Reasons for the enactment of the Education Ordinance (1878) Councillor Ito Hirobumi's petition: "In order to manage school affairs within towns and villages, we should establish educational affairs committees."
