Fashion magazine - fukushokuzasshi

Japanese: 服飾雑誌 - ふくしょくざっし

A magazine that regularly introduces women's clothing. This type of magazine first appeared at the end of the 18th century. Early examples include the Galerie of Fashion (1794-1803) and the Journal des Dames et des Modes (1797-1839). In the 19th century, there were La Belle Assemblée (1806-32, 1834-50), La Mode (1829-54), and Le Bon Ton (1834-74). However, these were expensive and only published in small quantities.

女性の服装を定期的に紹介する雑誌。この種の雑誌が現れたのは，18世紀末であった。《ギャレリー･オブ･ファッション》(1794‐1803)，《ジュルナル･デ･ダーム･エ･デ･モード》(1797‐1839)などが早い例である。19世紀には《ラ･ベル･アサンブレ》(1806‐32,1834‐50)，《ラ･モード》(1829‐54)，《ル･ボン･トン》(1834‐74)などがあった。しかしこれらは高価で小部数のものであった。
