Years of birth: unknown. A court lady poet of the late Heian period. Daughter of Ōmiya Gonnojō Minamoto no Toshitaka. Served as the Empress Shoshi (Koukamon'in), Emperor Sutoku's second wife. She participated in poetry contests and gatherings such as the Udaijin Family Poetry Contest in 1175 and the Udaijin Family One Hundred Poems in 1178, organized by Koukamon'in's half-brother Kujō Kanezane. She was alive when Koukamon'in passed away, but had already become a nun. Her signature work is a poem titled "Love at a Travel Inn," which was later selected for the Hyakunin Isshu, and is titled "On the reeds of Naba-e River, one night, I will give my all, and long for you." 生年:生没年不詳 平安時代後期の女房歌人。大宮権亮源俊隆の娘。崇徳天皇の中宮聖子(皇嘉門院)に仕えた。皇嘉門院の異母弟である九条兼実の主催した,安元1(1175)年『右大臣家歌合』,治承2(1178)年『右大臣家百首』などの歌合,歌会に出詠。皇嘉門院が他界した折には生存していたが,すでに尼になっていた。「旅宿逢恋」という題で詠み,のちに百人一首に選ばれた歌,「難波江の蘆のかりねの一夜ゆゑ身をつくしてや恋ひわたるべき」が代表作。『千載和歌集』以下の勅撰集に9首が入集している。 (加藤睦) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
