Yutaka Abe
1895-1977 A film director from the Taisho and Showa periods.
Born on February 2, 1895. Studied acting in America and became a film actor. Returned to Japan in 1925, joined Nikkatsu and made his directorial debut with "For My Alma Mater." Died on January 3, 1977. Age 81. Born in Miyagi Prefecture. Dropped out of Tohoku Middle School. Nicknamed Jackie Abe. Major works include "The Woman Who Touched My Feet" and "The Five Women About Him."
