Born: March 10, 1771, Marburg
Died: February 16, 1858. Heidelberg German philologist and archaeologist. Studied theology and philosophy at the University of Marburg, then philology and literary history. From 1804, he was full professor of philology and ancient history at the University of Heidelberg for 45 years. His ideas were strongly colored by Neoplatonism, but by guiding A. Arnim, C. Brentano, J. Gerres and others, they bore fruit in the artistic Romantic movement. He also established an academic foundation for mythology. However, his theory was fiercely attacked by JH Boss and CA Robeck. His main work is "Symbolik und Mythologie der alten Völker，besonders der Griechen" (1810-12).

Kreutzer
Kreutzer, Conradin

Born: November 20, 1780, Messkirch
[Died] December 14, 1849, Riga German composer. After studying law, he switched to music and studied under Albrechtsberger in Vienna. He was active as an opera composer in Vienna, Stuttgart, Donaueschingen, Cologne, and other cities. His representative work is "The Camp in Granada" (1834). He also composed works for male chorus and chamber music.

Kreutzer
Kreutzer, Leonid

Born: March 13, 1884, St. Petersburg
[Died] October 30, 1953, Tokyo. A Russian pianist of German descent. After graduating from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, he moved to Germany and became active as a pianist and conductor. In 1921, he became a professor at the Berlin Music School. In 1933, he moved to Japan and left a significant mark on the Japanese piano world. His books include "Piano Playing Methods."

ドイツの文献学者，考古学者。マールブルク大学で神学，哲学を，次いで文献学，文学史を修める。 1804年から 45年間ハイデルベルク大学で文献学と古代史の正教授。彼の思想は，新プラトン主義的色彩が強いが A.アルニム，C.ブレンターノ，J.ゲレスなどを指導することによって，芸術上ロマン派の運動に結実していく。また彼は神話学を学問的に基礎づけた。しかしその理論は，J.H.ボスや C.A.ロベックなどに激しく攻撃された。主著"Symbolik und Mythologie der alten Völker，besonders der Griechen" (1810～12) 。

ドイツの作曲家。法律を学んだのち音楽に転向し，ウィーンでアルブレヒツベルガーに学ぶ。ウィーンのほか，シュツットガルト，ドナウエッシンゲン，ケルンなどでオペラ作曲家として活躍した。代表作は『グラナダの夜営』 (1834) 。ほかに男声合唱曲や室内楽の作品がある。

クロイツァー
Kreutzer， Leonid

ドイツ系のロシアのピアニスト。ペテルブルグ音楽院を卒業後ドイツに移り，ピアニストおよび指揮者として活躍。 1921年ベルリン音楽学校の教授となる。 33年日本に移住，日本のピアノ界に大きな足跡を残した。著書に『ピアノ奏法』がある。
