...However, the last temple to be established, Fukagawa Reiganji, was founded in the 24th year of the Kan'ei era (1st year of the Kan'ei era), so the system was established after that. The 18 temples that were established in this way are, in order of their founding, Sagami Kamakura Komyo-ji, Musashi Konosu Shogan-ji (Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture), Hitachi Urizura Jofuku-ji (Urizure Town, Naka District, Ibaraki Prefecture), Edo Shiba Zojo-ji, Shimousa Iinuma Kokyo-ji (Mitsukaido City, Ibaraki Prefecture), Shimousa Kogane Tozen-ji (Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture), Kazusa Oyumi Daigan-ji (Chiba City), Musashi Kawagoe Renkei-ji (Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture), Musashi Takiyama Daizen-ji (Hachioji City, Tokyo), Musashi Iwatsuki These were Jokoku-ji Temple (Iwatsuki City, Saitama Prefecture), Hitachi Edosaki Dainen-ji Temple (Edosaki Town, Inashiki District, Ibaraki Prefecture), Ueno Tatebayashi Zendo-ji Temple (Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture), Shimousa Yuki Kokyo-ji Temple (Yuki City, Ibaraki Prefecture), Edo Honjo Ryozen-ji Temple (Sumida Ward, Tokyo), Edo Shitaya Banzui-in Temple (Koganei City, Tokyo, formerly Asakusa Kanyoshi-cho, Taito Ward), Edo Koishikawa Denzu-in Temple, Ueno Shinden Daiko-in Temple (Ota City, Gunma Prefecture), and Edo Fukagawa Reigan-ji Temple (Koto Ward, Tokyo). As places of learning, the danrin eventually played a part in the administration under the shogunate's control over temples, and, although there were some changes, became the center of religious administration.
