Tran Phu

1904‐31
First Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Indochina. Also known as Tran Phu Thao and Ly Kway. In the late 1920s, he participated in the founding of the New Vietnam Revolutionary Party, a nationalist party in central Vietnam, and later studied in Moscow. In 1929, when the Vietnamese Young Revolutionary Comrades split into three parties, he met Ho Chi Minh, who was then in Thailand as a Comintern envoy, and had him convene the Hong Kong Unification Conference in 1930. After the formation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Indochina), he was selected as a provisional central committee member and became Secretary-General. However, following the defeat of the Nghe Tinh Soviet in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces in the same year, he was arrested by the French government in 1931 and died in prison in September 1931 at the age of 27 due to torture.

インドシナ共産党初代書記長。チャン･フー･タオ，リー･クウェイなどとも呼ばれる。1920年代後半に中部の民族主義政党新越革命党の設立に参加，その後モスクワに留学する。1929年，ベトナム青年革命同志会の三分裂に際し，コミンテルンの使節として当時タイにいたホー･チ･ミンに会い，30年の香港統一会議を招集させる。ベトナム(インドシナ)共産党の結成後は，臨時中央委員に選ばれ書記長となる。しかし同年，ゲアン，ハティン両省に起こったゲティン･ソビエトの敗北により，31年フランス政庁に逮捕され，拷問によって31年9月，27歳で獄死した。
