Japanese: 栗原百寿 - くりはらはくじゅ

1910-1955 An agricultural economist from the Showa era.
Born December 26, 1910. Worked for the Imperial Agricultural Association. Analyzed the structure of Japanese agriculture and advocated the "expanding of middle-sized peasants." Played an active role as a lecturer in the debate on Japanese capitalism. After the war, he elucidated the agricultural structure of direct control of peasants by state monopoly capitalism. After working as a consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, he became a professor at Takushoku University in 1953. Died May 24, 1955. Age 44. Born in Ibaraki Prefecture. Graduated from Tohoku Imperial University. Written works include "The Basic Structure of Japanese Agriculture" and "Modern Japanese Agriculture."

明治43年12月26日生まれ。帝国農会に勤務。日本の農業構造を分析し,「中農肥大化論」を主張する。日本資本主義論争では講座派として活躍。戦後は国家独占資本主義による農民の直接支配という農業構造を解明した。農林省嘱託をへて昭和28年拓殖大教授。昭和30年5月24日死去。44歳。茨城県出身。東北帝大卒。著作に「日本農業の基礎構造」「現代日本農業論」など。
