A volcano in the eastern Andes Mountains in South America, Ecuador. It is also called Cotopahi. It is the highest active volcano in the world, with an elevation of 5,911m. It is located on a plateau 55km south of Quito, and is a stratovolcano with a height of 3,000m. It is constantly emitting smoke and is covered in ice and snow.
