Omori Jinya - Omori Jinya

...A representative silver mine from the Sengoku period. Located in Omori-cho, Ota City, Shimane Prefecture, it is now called Omori Mine. A silver mine was developed near Sennoyama in the first half of the 16th century. In 1533 (Tenbun 2), Hakata merchant Kamiya Hisatada brought a smelter and succeeded in smelting silver. As silver production increased, the Ouchi, Amago, and Mori clans repeatedly fought over the silver mine, and Yamabuki Castle was located on the mine, and Yataki Castle was located south of the Orojizaka slope to the southwest, which controlled the mine. In 1562 (Eiroku 5), the Mori clan secured the silver mine, and eventually offered it as a tribute to the Muromachi shogunate and the Imperial Court, paying silver as tribute. ...

…戦国時代からの代表的銀山。島根県大田市大森町に所在し，現在は大森鉱山と呼ばれている。16世紀前半期に仙ノ山付近に銀坑を開発。1533年(天文2)博多商人神谷寿禎が吹工を伴ってきて銀の製錬に成功した。産銀増加とともに，大内･尼子･毛利氏の間に銀山争奪戦が反復され，銀山に山吹城があり，南西方の降路坂の南に矢滝城があり銀山の押えに当たった。62年(永禄5)毛利氏が銀山を確保し，やがてこれを室町幕府と朝廷に料所として献じ銀を貢納した。…
