Kristianstad
The capital of Kristianstad County in southern Sweden. It was founded in 1614 by Danish King Christian IV as a defensive base against Sweden, but has been part of Sweden since 1678. It is now an industrial city with machinery manufacturing, weaving, flour milling, food processing, and other industries. It is home to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, built in the Dutch Renaissance style in the early 17th century. Population: 72,154 (1992 estimate).

スウェーデン南部,クリシャンスタード県の県都。 1614年デンマーク王クリスティアン4世によって対スウェーデン防衛拠点として建設されたが,78年以降スウェーデン領。現在は機械製造,織物,製粉,食品加工などが行われる工業都市。 17世紀初頭に建てられたオランダ・ルネサンス様式の聖三位一体聖堂がある。人口7万 2154 (1992推計) 。
