Japanese: グラマー女優 - グラマーじょゆう

A Hollywood term referring to a blonde actress who is beautiful, seductive, and especially sexually attractive. It began to be used around 1928 when the first film adaptation of Anita Loos' humorous novel Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (directed by Malcolm St. Claire and starring Ruth Taylor and Alice White) was made, which featured chorus girls who seduce millionaires and swindle their money. The term became synonymous with the "sex appeal" of blonde actresses in the 1930s.

容姿が美しく，魅惑的で，とくに性的魅力のあるブロンドの女優を指したハリウッド用語。百万長者をたらしこんで金を巻き上げるコーラスガール(踊り子)たちを主人公にした，アニタ･ルースのユーモア小説《紳士は金髪がお好き》の最初の映画化(マルカム･セイント･クレア監督，ルス･テーラー，アリス･ホワイト主演)が行われた1928年ころから使われ出し，30年代のブロンド女優の〈セックス･アピール〉の代名詞になった。
