Air purifier - kuukiseijouki

Japanese:
Air purifier - kuukiseijouki

A device that removes fine particles such as dust and purifies polluted air. It is also called an air cleaner. Dust in the air is mechanically removed by passing it through a fibrous or sponge filter, but a further method is to pass the air between high-voltage electrodes to charge the fine particles and have them adsorb to the electrodes, or adsorption by activated charcoal is also used for deodorization. Air purifiers were not very popular until recently because ordinary homes can be ventilated by opening and closing windows, and it is not easy to purify gases to prevent gas poisoning. However, with the spread of air conditioners, they have begun to be used in automobiles, and recently, with consideration for non-smokers and people with allergies and growing health consciousness, they are also available for office and home use.
