It is thought to have been a post station on the Tosan road in Fuwa district, Mino province. It is thought to have been located on the banks of the Kuisegawa River, which flows along the border between Fuwa district and Anpachi district, but its exact location is unknown. During the Jokyu War, the shogunate forces that moved west captured the Kyoto bases of Kabugawa, Susumata, Ichiwaki, etc., and in 1232, regent Hojo Yasutoki provided travel provisions to traveling ronin at Kabugawa station to alleviate the people during the Kanki famine. It disappeared from documents after the late Kamakura period, and is thought to have been replaced by Akasaka post station (present-day Ogaki city, Gifu prefecture) to the west. →Post stations Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
