〘Noun〙 Another name for Nanking coins. Among the coins imported from China since the Muromachi period, these were of particularly poor quality. Along with Uchihirame , these were bad coins that were subject to the selection of erisen . In the Edo period, they were called bitasen , and were only worth a quarter of Yongle coins. Kyosen. 〘名〙 南京銭(なんきんせん)の別称。室町時代以来中国から輸入した銭のうち、特に質の悪いもの。打平(うちひらめ)とともに撰銭(えりせん)の対象とされた悪銭。江戸時代、鐚銭(びたせん)と呼ばれ、永楽銭の四分の一の価値しかなかった。きょうせん。きょうぜに。※蜷川文書‐三・永正二年(1505)一〇月一〇日「定 撰銭事〈限京銭・打平等〉」
