Kinshiroku - Kinshiroku

14 volumes. This book was compiled by Zhu Xi (Zhu Xi) of the Southern Song Dynasty in China with the help of his friend Lu Zuqian (Luo Zuqian). Zhu Xi's preface states that it was written in about 10 days in 1175, but it was completed three years later after many revisions. It contains 622 articles selected from the posthumous writings and sayings of the four scholars of the Northern Song Dynasty: Zhou Dunyi (Lianxi), Cheng Hao (Mingdao), Cheng Yi (Yichuan), and Zhang Zai (Yangqu). The book is divided into 14 sections, including "The Body of the Dao," "The Outline of Learning," and "The Spirit of the Sages." The title of the book is taken from the Analects of Confucius, which says, "Learn broadly, aspire, ask sincerely, and think closely ." As Neo-Confucianism became popular, this book was widely read in China, Japan, and Korea as an introduction to Song studies. The main commentaries are the Jin Silok Jiji by Ye Cai of the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Silok Jichu by Jiang Yong of the Qing Dynasty.

14巻。中国、南宋(なんそう)の朱熹(しゅき)（朱子）が友人呂祖謙(りょそけん)（東莱(とうらい)）の協力を得て編集した書。朱熹の序文には1175年に10日ほどでつくりあげたとあるが、さらに何度も手を加えて3年後に完成した。北宋の四子――周敦頤(とんい)（濂渓(れんけい)）、程顥(ていこう)（明道）、程頤(ていい)（伊川(いせん)）、張載(ちょうさい)（横渠(おうきょ)）の4人の学者――の遺著・語録のなかから重要な箇条を選び、「道体」「為学の大要」以下「聖賢の気象」に至る14項に分けて622条を収録した。書名は『論語』の「博(ひろ)く学んで篤(あつ)く志し、切に問うて近く思う」からとった。朱子学が盛行するに伴い、宋学の入門書として中国でも日本・朝鮮でも広く読まれた。注釈としては、南宋の葉采(しょうさい)の『近思録集解(しっかい)』と清(しん)の江永の『近思録集注(しっちゅう)』が主要なものである。
