...A legendary martyr from Rome in the 3rd century. Cecilia in Italian, Cecilia in English. A daughter of an aristocrat, she converted to Christianity at a young age, persuaded her pagan fiancé Valerian and his brother Tiburtius to be baptized, and dedicated her virginity to Christ.
