Curie's Law

Japanese: キュリーの法則 - キュリーノホウソク

This law states that the magnetic susceptibility of a paramagnetic material is inversely proportional to temperature. The Curie-Weiss law applies to the magnetic susceptibility of ferromagnetic and diamagnetic materials above their Curie temperature. It was discovered by P=Curie in 1895, and later theoretically derived by P=Langevin. The Curie-Langevin law.
[Additional information] If magnetic susceptibility is χ and absolute temperature is T, then χ can be expressed as χ = C/T, using the constant C (Curie constant) that is specific to the material.

常磁性体の磁化率は温度に反比例するという法則。強磁性体や反磁性体のキュリー温度以上の磁化率については、キュリー・ワイスの法則が成り立つ。1895年にP＝キュリーが発見し、のちにP＝ランジュバンが理論的に導出。キュリー・ランジュバンの法則。
[補説]磁化率をχ、絶対温度をTとすると、物質に固有の定数C（キュリー定数）を用いて、χ＝C/Tと表せる。
